Research capacity in low- and middle-income countries is often strongest at the science and weakest at the funding layer. Talented researchers at under-resourced universities have strong ideas but limited time, no dedicated grants office, and few international connections to strengthen a proposal's credibility. Kinila partners directly with LMIC faculty and institutions to close that gap — and with HIC researchers who want genuine, not token, LMIC co-investigators on their proposals.

How Engagement Works

Fee structure

Fees are structured as a transparent, budgeted role within the proposal itself, or as an institutional retainer — never as a contingency or success fee, in line with standard funder and institutional conflict-of-interest norms. Where a project succeeds, we remain available to support implementation, not just the paperwork that got it funded.
